Green Products

I was doing a search on organic and cruelty free products and I found this site which I found was the better sites to buy from. It is called Greenie Goods You can buy from aromatherapy oils to hair care. The prices are ok too! They are an Australian company but they DO ship internationally. You just have to e-mail them for a quote.
I always worry about whether they test on animals and this company does not.
Here is the Q & A on Animal Testing:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Animal Testing
Do you test your products on animals?
None of our products or ingredients was tested on animals during research & testing, or since.
This has been part of our philosophy from the outset, rather than one which has been adopted in recent times to follow the ‘market trend’.
Do any of your products contain animal products or by products?
No. We go to great lengths to use alternatives to the widely-used animal tested ingredients & products. We have even found an alternative source of Vitamin A (naturally occurs in animal & fish liver & commonly used in cosmetics).
We use Vitamin A that has been synthesised from Brown Boronia for use in our skin care range ‘jene’.
We are accredited with CCF (Choose Cruelty Free) on their Preferred Products List.
I have not tried these products but I am excited to buy from them as they sell high quality products. I plan on buying all my cleaning, personal hygiene and aromatherapy oils from them. Sure it will cost more but it is worth it!

So all I can say is 10 out of 10
If it is coming to your town you should go see it NOW now NOW!

One Bag Made

mood: artistic
and plenty more to go. I converted a baby hat into a bag. Quite easy actually. Will post a photo soon when I get the battery recharged.
I will be making more bags over the next coming weeks as I have the free time to do so. I am trying to get as creative as I can. I have some interesting idea's which I will keep to myself for the time being. All will be revealed soon enough :)
Here are the photo's :)
This bag was made out of a baby hat. I just added two handle's and a button that closes the bag shut. It is reversible too.

Ninja Bear
Stephen Colbert warned us about bears. We should have listened. Already a member of one of the world's most dangerous species, this bear has spent his time in the Hong Kong zoo learning tree-branch karate. The new ninja-like ability makes him twice as lethal and 10x more adorable.

Stop Whaling Caribbean Nations
Jun. 27th, 2008 | 01:01 pm
location: greenseat
mood: awake
music: dishwasher
Ask Caribbean nations to vote for whales -- not whaling.
Our team is at the International Whaling Commission meeting in Chile this week, holding the line against commercial whaling. Read our daily dispatches here. It's not too late take a stand and help whales today.
The Caribbean is a paradise where people go to relax on beautiful beaches, snorkel and dive, and increasingly, enjoy whale watching excursions. Few Caribbean vacationers have any idea that their island hosts have sold out whales.
While Japan, Iceland and Norway are under fire for their brutal whaling, less well-known is the fact that five Caribbean nations -- Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and St. Lucia -- regularly vote with Japan at the International Whaling Commission in favor of lifting the ban on commercial whaling. The leaders of these countries give in to pressure from their Asian patron even though they themselves do not pursue commercial whaling.
Instead of succumbing to Japanese demands, Caribbean officials must realize that preserving these great animals for whale watching -- not whale hunting -- should be their focus. Increasingly popular, whale watching excursions bring in revenue for local communities -- not just boat captains, but restaurants, hotels and other businesses.
TAKE ACTION
Tell Caribbean leaders that they should follow the example of Dominica, the one island in the region that recently announced it would no longer vote with Japan on this issue. As a potential tourist, please let Dominica’s neighbors know that whale watching, not whaling, is in their best interest as well.
Please remember to tell your friends and family how they can help, too. We need to send a message to these governments that the people of the world are against whaling and will not stand by while they let whales die.
Thank you for all that you do to help animals.
Sincerely,
Andrew Rowan

A very intriguing and surprisingly werid.. hrmm ...if you can handle something way out there that will do your head in then this is the film for you.
BEWARE RATING R so 18+
It is called "HARDCORE" a Greek film with English subtitles and the nature of it is GAY/Sexuality.
At the end of the film you will be wondering "what is the message of this film" I am still yet to determine what that is. I think I will have to watch it again. I'm not sure if it was meant to be a serious film or taking things jokingly. You be the judge and let me know what you think
check out the imdb review from the site

Save the Moonbears in Korea

Recently, I have become involved in conservation and I'm a tad bit obsessed by it all. ack ack! I have been browsing the web for sites that list animal cruelty and one's that talk about conservation.
One site I found was www.moonbears.org who are an organization that deal with helping and saving the moon bears in Korean farms where they are cut up so they "humans" can extract bile for humans to eat. They are kept in tiny cages that can fit a dog into it. But they put these defenseless bears into them where they can't even move or stretch out. It is very very very sad.
You can check out the website with all the information and even donate which I have (of course" already donated. Please do check it out and help these wonderful creatures that need our help.
I have also made posters/flyers that I am going to paste up around Perth, Western Australia to get the word out. I hope for people to notice and even if one person does it all helps.

Policing The Roads
Jun. 3rd, 2008 | 08:04 am

mood:
frustrated
music: Lawnmower
Once again the Western Australia police force were out in force the long weekend and of course I got caught!

Would you trust men who looked as nice as these men do? Looking way too kind and happy!
I was driving from Eagle Bay back to Perth and while I was driving out on Bunbury. Samanth0r was in the car (of course) and she distracting me by the mobile phone wanting me to call my sister while I was driving. I was driving at 100 km in an 80 km zone. At that point I looked back onto the road and I saw two policemen with a hand held camera checking car's. I suddenly stamped my foot on the brake to get the car down to 80 km but I think they got me at 100 km. I'm not sure.. It all happened so quickly.
What annoys me is that the policemen were hiding in the bushes so car drivers weren't aware of their presence until the last moment. I feel that is unfair and unjust. Policemen should let their presence be known or at least have the curtsey to put a sign up in front saying "speed camera ahead" That wasn't even posted!
Another thing that annoys me is that I am getting off my P Plates June 20th, 2008 so I really hope I didn't get caught in Bunbury because at that speed I will probably lose my license and all my demerit points.
Let's hoping I am fine (pray the gods that I am)
I feel they do this for money making more than anything. Not for the safety of the people. Yeah it may come in to is a little but surely it's not 100% for the people!
I am a P Plater and it was double demerits and I don't even know how many I start off with anyway. Does anyone know?
Do you think it is fair and justice that they don't sign "speed camera's"?
Is it fair they hide in bushes to catch us?
I think NOT!
